Individual Psychotherapy

Individual therapy is great for anyone! Although many seek individual therapy when in crisis, or through some catalyst that has inspired one to address unresolved issues from the past , therapy can be a place of self-exploration and a way to create new insight to have a more fulfilling life.

Common topics addressed in individual therapy:

  • Exploring unresolved trauma or negative experiences from the past manifesting into present distress

  • Learning ways to cope with depression and anxiety

  • Aiding with life transitions and their accompanying stresses (i.e. academic, occupational, dating, marriage, pregnancy, etc.)

  • Addressing “blocks” as it relates to performance issues

  • Learning to improve relationships with others, including how to dissolve unhealthy relationships

  • Addressing body image concerns and navigating food and weight issues.

  • Coping with grief and loss
